Hi, I am a Serial entrepreneur with 45+ years of ecological and environmental business experience. I am the EAT Community Chief Ecolonomic Instigator and the mastermind behind the EAT paradigm. Gaining guidance from other entrepreneurs in the marketing industry, I created this platform with my previous partner, Mark Shepard, to build a place for everyone to gain the necessary skills to live an ecolonomic lifestyle.Â
Brad Harr has more than 39 years of environmental science experience, including 31 years in environmental site assessment; soil, water, and air contaminant characterization; damp-building assessment; and contaminated-site remediation and closure.
His technical expertise includes regulatory compliance, risk assessment, environmental characterization for property transfers, permitting, building science, microbial evaluations, and clandestine drug-lab evaluation and remediation. Brad manages Summit’s site-assessment services, quality assurance, and large-project planning, budgeting, and cost control. He has managed numerous UST, RCRA, and Superfund hazardous-waste remediation projects for government agencies, private industry, and private citizens throughout the Northwest.
Brad holds B.A. degrees in Biology and Botany and an M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Montana. He serves on the Boise State Environmental Health Advisory Committee and participates in four international environmental standards-writing committees at ASTM and IICRC. He is a Registered Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Microbial Consultant, and Healthy Homes Specialist. Brad has also served on the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization board and provided expert-witness testimony involving gasoline releases, hazardous-waste cleanup, and damp or mold-impacted buildings.
Michael “Mike” Larango has more than 29 years of experience in environmental and building science. As Vice President and Manager of Field Operations for Summit Environmental, Inc. and Royal Inspection, his responsibilities include building inspections, fungal assessments, health and safety management, contractor oversight, multi-media sampling, groundwater monitoring, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment research and reporting, Health and Safety Plans, microbial evaluations, and documentation of field activities.
Mike’s additional expertise includes data research and collection, soil and waste sampling, hazardous-waste management, heavy-equipment operations, UST decommissioning, professional-witness assistance, and air monitoring and sampling. He is emergency-response trained and is a Certified Real Estate Inspector and Certified Microbial Investigator.
A Montana native and longtime Boise-area resident, Mike enjoys meeting people and helping them with environmental and building-purchase needs. Away from work, he and his wife enjoy traveling, camping, skiing, motorcycling, sports, and spending time with their children and grandchild.
