People and organizations

The EPN network

EPN is being developed around independent environmental firms, technical specialists and field service providers. The organizations below are involved in that work. As additional firms formalize their participation, this page will grow to reflect the specialties and experience they bring.

Organizations involved in developing EPN

These organizations are involved in EPN's development, though they serve different roles. Dorband & Associates and Summit Environmental bring environmental consulting and field capabilities, while CEED supports business and organizational development. Project teams are built around the requirements of each assignment.

How this directory will develop

As relationships are formalized, EPN can add participating firms with their permission, describe their actual specialties and link to their own websites. A listing is not a blanket endorsement for every kind of work.

Working with the network

What matters when a firm joins a project

The qualifications needed for groundwater sampling are different from those needed for an engineered remediation design. EPN starts with the requirements of the actual work, rather than treating every firm as interchangeable.

Relevant experience

We look at the work a firm has performed and whether that experience fits the proposed scope.

Professional qualifications

Licenses, certifications and insurance need to be appropriate to the role, location and project requirements. Technical responsibility stays with the firm performing the work.

Capacity and coverage

People, equipment, field availability and geographic reach matter, particularly when schedules are tight or work spans several sites.

Clear working terms

Before work starts, participating firms need an agreement on scope, contracting roles, pricing and how the client relationship will be handled.

For project owners and clients

Have a project that needs more than one specialty?

You do not need to know which firm to call before contacting EPN. Tell us where the project is, what you are trying to accomplish and which parts of the scope need help. We can discuss the qualifications and relationships needed for the work.

If your firm has a specialty that could complement another environmental business, we would like to understand your capabilities, the work you take on and where you operate. The Partners page explains how we approach participation.
